This will be short since I was gone for my weekly blog, but we just got back from Branson with family. We had an Airbnb and a dinner cruise on the Silver Dollar City’s Showboat (formerly the Branson Belle on Table Rock Lake.) We had a great time and ate too much. The show had fantastic talent and the food was great.
We ran around town and learned a good lesson right away; never try to turn left in Branson. There were a few times that we may or may not have turned right out of the left-hand lane and then traveled half a block, turned left and did a full circle in a parking lot only to travel the direction the GPS said to go. The fall temps were perfect, and it was the weekend, so we weren’t the only people there. We shopped and walked until my aging legs were worn out. But I’d do it again.
And if you’re interested, MacaDoodles is a liquor store, not an Irish pub. Lesson learned.
It wasn’t our first trip to Branson, but it was the most fun, probably because of the company. But if you go, remember, never turn left in Branson.
What are you reading, writing, or creating this week?

The part about having to turn right just to go left made me laugh! I’ve had a few trips where the unexpected detours became part of the memory. I also liked what you said about the company making this visit special. Sometimes it’s not really the destination, but the moments we share along the way. Sounds like a lovely trip!
