A few years ago, I wrote an urban fantasy called Flatiron Death Grip by combining some short stories I had written earlier into a novel. I thought it would be easy to take stories that had already been written and make them into a novel. It was not. The idea took a while. I had to decide who was the main character of the novel, not just the main character of each short story. Then all the characters had to have one main goal—the hero’s journey. I finally made it. It was published, illustrated and later converted into a graphic novel script, too. It was a lot of work but I had fun putting it all together.

I still love fantasy and sometimes I just need to create some more. There’s probably too much reality in the world. Pick up a copy and get ready for spooky season that is right around the corner.
